FIQ is a part of the NGO Consortium for Energy, along with a dozen other non-governmental organizations. During this week, the consortium organized debates at universities and high schools on energy projects in Kosovo.

So far, the debates have been held at the College Universium, where 80 enthusiastic students participated. We visited two high schools, one in the municipality of Hani Elezit, and the other one in the coal municipality Obiliq. Ironically, even though Kosovo's electricity is produced in Obiliq, the students could not see the documentary "Kingdom of Coal", as the school was facing electrical power cuts for almost a month. 

High school and university students had great interest in Kosovos energy sector and the progresses that are being made there however they did complain about the lack of information regarding this sector in general.

Debates will continue to be held in several other municipalities in the country.
