Forum for Civic Initiatives (FIQ) has undertaken initiative to clean the waste on Lake Vermica.

A number of activists and students joined this initiative, while different donors within and out of the country covered the financial expenses.

Eventhough, The Minister of Environment, Albena Reshitaj, confirmed the participation in this activity, she did not show up. Neither did the municipality of Prizren supported the activity

FIQ volunteers and staff managed to collect a truck with garbage removed from this part.

The message of this initiative is to raise the awareness of citizens in protecting and cleaning the environment and green parts of our beautiful nature.

We thank the donors that supported this initiative: "Medical Group", the company "Agroduriqi", Meridian Express & BUKA Bakery and Shefqet Podvorica.
