FIQ is pleased to announce the 3 winning ideas of from the Business Ideas - Green and Innovative competition, which was organized for the sixth year in row. At this phase, the Selection Commission comprised of experts from various fields has made its selection of the top 3 winning ideas based on the predefined evaluation criteria.
The three winning ideas for this year are:Nikki Murseli - "DYVO" - A social enterprise that aims to design and produce personal and household accessories made from fup-cycled plexiglass waste.Besart Kunushevci - “Akademia Platform" - An innovative platform aimed at improving quality in educational institutions through the development of an academic research machine, reference generation and plagiarism detection in Albanian. Drenusha Kuqi - "Our Roots” - A new startup aiming to cultivate Oyster mushrooms by recycling coffee waste.
The three chosen finalists will continue to receive tailored mentoring and training from Forum for Civic Initiatives (FIQ), as they will continue to represent Kosovo in the regional competition Philanthropy for Green Ideas, organized by Rockefeller Brothers Fund, to be held this July in Montenegro. They will be competing for the first 4 prizes in the amount of $10,000 each.
FIQ congratulates the winners and will continue its work with the other finalists as well, to help them put their ideas into practice, aiming to bring a social, environmental, and economic development in Kosovo.
