Fostering sustainable organisational development for CSOs in Kosovo

Project “Fostering sustainable organisational development for CSOs in Kosovo’’ is a project funded by European Union, managed by EU Office in Kosovo, and implemented by Forum for Civic Initiatives (FIQ) and Institute for Development Policy (INDEP). Goal of the project is to contribute towards a democratic society through developing sustainable Civil Society Organisations, which would serve as agents to authentic changes in policymaking and decision taking in all levels.

This project aims to support CSOs in Kosovo with a special focus on organisational, advocacy development, capacity building for fundraising, profiling, partnership building and networking. In this way, their contribution to decision-making and policy-making at local and central level will increase.

The Academy for Sustainability

Through the Academy for Sustainability, direct mentoring of COSs during practical work, financing of project with community base, the project itself will play a role of a National Resource Center and as such, will produce better prepared, more credible and sustainable organisations. The Academy for Sustainability will last 12 months, where organisations to be selected with their projects are grassroots, which will benefit from training packages on project management, fundraising, advocacy knowledge, and other areas needed for their progress.

Grants for participating CSOs

Part of the project is also grant allocation for 15 local organisations, which will be financed from 3500 – 4000 euro. It is also foreseen establishment of partnership, which for in the upcoming year there will be up to 4 coalition of organisations, which will benefit from grants to implement projects in partnership with one another. Partnership projects will be funded up to 8500 euros. All information about calls will be posted on the FIQ and INDEP websites.

National Resource Center (NRC)

All trainings that will be delivered to the beneficiary organisations of this project will be published online and accessible to the public. Also, there will be a library with variety of books located in FIQ offices and open to all CSOs. In addition, the NRC will also serve as a co-working and meeting space for local CSOs.
